Okra Hummus Plate

An unusual combination that will have you stand out – cold Kasih hummus with hot fried okra is a must-try for those who have an innovative touch. To enrich the flavour of fried onions and garlic, garnish the dish with diced tomatoes and cilantro.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack Kasih Hummus 135 gm
  • 1 cup okra
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato diced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt & Pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spread the Hummus in a serving plate.
  2. Fry the onion and garlic, add the okra cumin, lemon juice salt and pepper.
  3. Cover, stirring occasionally; when the okra is cooked and tender put it on the Hummus.

GARNISH

Garnish with chopped tomatoes and parsley.
