Veggie Hummus Sliders

Freshly baked buns with Kasih hummus as an Oriental twist to the original sliders! The crunchy hummus patty rests on a bed of juicy hummus paste infused with watercress and is topped with a tomato slice for a moist texture. Don’t forget to top the buns with seeds for a healthier yummier touch!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 packs Kasih Hummus 135 gm
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon dried sage
  • 1/2 tablespoon powdered ginger

For the spread

  • 1 bunch watercress
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For frying

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 1/2 cup Italian mix breadcrumbs

To finish

  • Celery leaves
  • 1 tomato slice
  • 3 mini burger buns

DIRECTIONS

  1. Using a wooden spoon, slowly fold the flour and breadcrumbs into the hummus, add the breadcrumbs, sage, and ginger.
  2. Form the hummus mixture into mini patties. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Coat the patties in the flour, then coat well in the eggs, then finally coat it in the breadcrumbs.
  4. Build the sliders as shown in the image attached.
